Snack boxes originated from the Jing dynasty (220-581 A.D). In Mingdynasty (1368-1644 AD), it was called “Quan” boxes, meaning ‘completion’ and “together”.“Quan boxes” that carried snacks and candies became widely used for festive orcelebrative occasions, meaning “perfection” and “completion”.
